I swung the door open, bustling through the door with my many bags of shopping. I decided to actually get out of the flat for a while instead of get it delivered to us.

Dan sat in his usual position, knees hugged up to his chest, bare feet, head tilted back, eyes on the moon.
"Hey, baby." His tone was soft and gentle, the same voice he would used when he was talking to Phil.
He sighed, watching his hot breath mingle with the icy air.
"I know I didn't come out last night, I'm so sorry. I just couldn't... You know why." Dan looked down at his feet and curled his toe up.
They were already slightly blue from the cold but he didn't care. He needed to talk to Phil.
